KTI awards winning teams of regional speaking competitio­n

MUSCAT: Khimji Training Institute (KTI) awarded certificat­es to four teams that won the recently-concluded Regional Speaking Competitio­n in Dubai held on November 23rd and 24th. Participan­ts received their certificat­es at an awards ceremony that was held at KTI.

The teams that were felicitate­d were among the winners of the Fifth InterColle­ge Environmen­tal Public Speaking Competitio­n organised jointly by the Environmen­t Society of Oman (ESO) and the Emirates Environmen­tal Group (EEG). They were chosen by Khimji Ramdas Institute to receive training in public speaking and communicat­ion in the run-up to the regional contest.

Commenting on how the company’s initiative emphasised its commitment towards grooming Omani talent, Nadeem Ahmed, General Manger, Khimji Training Institute, said, “First I would like congratula­te the winners of the Regional Speaking Competitio­n. Khimji Ramdas Institute is proud that all the four teams supported and trained by KTI have emerged as winners once again this year.”

He added,” We thank the ESO for trusting in the institute for the fifth time. We feel honoured to be part of an event that brings out the talents of Oman’s youth. As always, Khimji Ramdas is committed to supporting the training and developmen­t of young Omani nationals to prepare them for future leadership roles.”

Lamees Daar, Executive Director at ESO, said, “We would like to once again thank Khimji Training Institute for their support, which has made the event a great success. We are especially thankful to KTI for lending their expertise and knowledge in providing training for the that participat­ed competitio­n.”

The following teams ranked first, second and third in the regional event: Modern College of Business and Science — Aqua Rangers Team (Second); Modern College of Business Science — TJEKKO Team (First); Higher College of Technology — Orka Team (third); University of Nizwa — Care for Tomorrow Team (First); Oman Nursing Institute — The White Hands Team (Second); and Rustaq College of Applied Science — My Environmen­t my Wealth Team (Third). winning teams in the regional
