MUSCAT: Students of Oman Tourism College have formed a club, named the Noble Club, with a view to provide an appropriate venue for students to enhance their studies through extra and co-curricular activities. The club will focus on volunteering and educational and cultural exchanges, among others.

According to Samira al Balushi, the president of the club, the major goals of the club include developing a culture of volunteering among the OTC community, and enhance opportunities for practical lifelong learning, apart from offering venues for social and environmental actions and supporting cultural and educational exchanges.

The club will also organize student workcamps and work towards engaging the OTC alumni in the club’s programs inside and outside the college.

Dr Don Anton Balida will act as the CoCurricular Activities Coordinator of the club.

Membership is open to all the registered students of the college, and is also extended to all alumni who are actively involved in Noble’s activities and projects.

The club’s activities include training of volunteers, participation in various volunteering initiatives at the college and outside, hosting student work-camps, and organizing exchange programmes by invitation from other member countries of NVDA (Network for Voluntary Development in Asia).
