MOT LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN ON SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Tourism recently launched the “Experience Oman” channels across several social media platforms with the aim to keep the visitors and residents informed about the latest tourist activities and share details regarding the places to visit in the Sultanate.

These pages have been launched on popular social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+ and YouTube. The pages will complement the existing Ministry of Tourism pages.

The “Experience Oman” pages will focus on showcasing the Sultanate’s best experience­s as well as giving the necessary informatio­n for tourists to experience these attraction­s.

The uniqueness of the Omani culture and the lesser known attraction­s will find a home in these picturesqu­e medium which aims to increase the number of tourists coming to the Sultanate.

Meanwhile, the existing “Oman Tourism” pages will continue to focus on the ministry’s activities and services.

The social media channels have already seen some great interactio­ns with the new audience and are quickly gaining popularity. This is also due to the fact that these channels available in multiple languages.

The launch of these channels complement the Omani Tourism Strategy for 2040, which focuses on enriching the tourist experience.

The Director-General of Tourism Promotion, Salim Adi al Mamari, said, “We have been blessed by picturesqu­e attraction­s that are unique to the region, we aim to showcase the best historic, natural and adventurou­s attraction­s. Our role is to make the process of discoverin­g and enjoying these attraction­s as easy as possible.” are
