Unique Elegant win with bonus point

MUSCAT: Unique Elegant registered a bonus point win against Europoles in the Oman Cricket League J division.

Europoles, batting first, could manage only 128 runs from 20 overs. Manukumar scored 39 not out. Unique Elegant chased the target in just 14.5 overs due to opening partnershi­p of 76 runs between Gaurav Sangi who scored 60 in 46 balls and Rafeeq Siyad (29). Suketu Limbani scored a brisk 29 from 16 balls. TIMES TRIUMPH In I division, Times of Oman beat Hussan Fadhil.

Batting first, Times of Oman scored 184 runs in 20 overs. An allround performanc­e by Muhammad Azeem, who scored 61 from 36 balls, and took 3 wickets for 38, Mujtaba Ahmed 54 and Imran Ali 35 could not help secure bonus point which could have made Times of Oman champions. Manoj wickets.

In reply, Hussan Fadhil managed 159 runs.

DESIGN GROUP WIN In J division, Design Group beat Aster Hospital by 55 runs.

The match was reduced to 18 overs due to late submission of nomination­s. Design Group, batting first, scored 185-7 in 18 overs and secured a bonus point. Shabbir Ahmed scored brilliant 65 not out from 49 balls followed by Susheel Krishnan 24. Mehadi from Aster took 2 wickets.

Aster Hospital scored 130 wickets in their alloted 18 overs. PSM THUMP ISAS In the junior division under-19 match, Pakistan School Muscat (PSM) thumped Indian School Al Seeb (ISAS) by 8 wickets. ISAS after winning the toss could manage only 103 runs in 23.4 overs due to excellent bowling by performanc­e of Abdul Rehman, who took 6 wickets for 35 runs.
