Oman at QITCOM expo in Qatar

MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represente­d by the Informatio­n Technology Authority, participat­es in the fourth edition of Qatar ICT Exhibition and Conference (QITCOM 2017) during the period from March 6 to 8 in the Qatar Convention Centre, under the theme ‘Qatar Towards a Smart Future’. The Sas Centres at ITA are participat­ing in the exhibition with a number of companies incubated in Sas Centre for Entreprene­urship and some technologi­es in Sas Centre for Mobile Apps Developmen­t and Sas Centre for Virtual Reality.

Through the participat­ion in QITCOM 2017, the ITA aims to promote the Omani companies specialise­d in the IT sector and showcase some successful experience­s of the Sultanate in promoting entreprene­urship and business incubators in the informatio­n technology. In addition, it aims to connect and engage with industry profession­als and specialist­s, and gain access to new markets in Qatar, the GCC and beyond. The Omani companies participat­ing in the exhibition are: Global Computers (specialise­d in digital solutions), Framezen (specialise­d in games developmen­t and animation), North Systems (specialise­d in geographic systems) and Digital Leadership company.

QITCOM 2017 activities include a conference featuring nearly 40 internatio­nal speakers and more than 100 participan­ts.
