RAO holds demo ‘Mountain Storm Exercise 2017’

MUSCAT: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO), represented by Sultan of Oman Parachute and the participation of some supporting units from the British Forces, on Sunday implemented the practical demonstration for Mountain Storm Exercise under the auspices of Maj Gen Matar bin Salim al Balushi, RAO Commander.

This exercise comes as part of the training plan for the RAO to enhance the training and combat efficiency of its personnel.

One of the Sultan of Oman Parachute officers made a briefing to the chief guest and senior officers on the programme of the exercise.

The forces participated at the exercise performed surveillance and mobilisation activities using different light and medium weapons.

The exercise reflected the efficiency of the RAO personnel.

It should be noted that the exercise is part of the training programmes implemented by ROA in cooperation with friendly countries to share military experience with them. high
