PHOTOCENTRE, Oman’s trusted name for photography and imaging, has announced the launch of the flagship FUJIFILM GFX 50S, which is hailed as the ultimate medium-format mirrorless camera available in Sultanate. To commemorate the occasion, the Managing Director of Photocentre, Mohammad al Farei, personally handed over the first unit sold in Oman to professional photographer Abdul Rahim al Maimani.

Commenting on the flagship model launch, Mohammad Al Farei, Managing Director of Photocentre said, “The launch of the FUJIFILM GFX 50S in Oman has professional photographers really excited. As forward-thinking as the medium-format GFX 50S is, the use of film-camera inspired design gives it intuitive operation and the ability to apply the camera system to myriad styles and methods of image-making. The sensor’s large form factor also achieves a unique three-dimensional look with especially smooth tonal and colour transitions. Beyond this, the sensor and processor combination also gives the ability to work in a variety of aspect ratios common to traditional large and medium-format film cameras, as well as the ability to shoot at up to 3 fps or record Full HD 1080p/30 video.”
