Real estate conference to highlight opportunit­ies

MUSCAT: The third edition of Oman Real Estate Conference, to be organised by Oman Real Estate Associatio­n (OREA), will be opened on Monday at the Grand Millennium Hotel, Muscat, under the auspices of Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Planning.

Speaking on the event’s objective, Mohammed bin Salim al Busaidi, Chairman of OREA, said: “We want to create a constructi­ve platform for real estate stakeholde­rs to share ideas and views and explore means to sustain the growth of the sector”.

He added that the conference also aims to provide a platform for exchanging knowledge on best practices, optimise on emerging business opportunit­ies and find solutions to the challenges.

Hassan bin Mohammed Juma, Deputy Chairman of OREA, said that the conference will bring together real estate experts from the Sultanate and abroad.

“It will also include several panel discussion­s on the available business opportunit­ies at the market and solutions for key challenges facing the sector. The conference will cast light on the latest developmen­ts at the Integrated Tourism Complexes (ITCs),” he added.

“An exhibition for the recent real estate projects in the Sultanate will be organised on the sidelines of the conference which will be attended by more than 300 public officials, real estate experts and businessme­n,” he furthered. The conference will include sessions and working papers on the opportunit­ies and challenges in the sector.
