BankDhofar supports Omani Women Association initiative in Salalah
MUSCAT: Complementing its efforts towards social responsibility in the local community, BankDhofar in cooperation with Omani Women Association in Salalah provided support for a number of ladies to establish their own home business. The participants joined an intensive training course in tailoring; supported by BankDhofar which was presented by Omani Women Association in Salalah.
BankDhofar places a great importance on supporting the community it operates in. This initiative will help the participants become productive members of the society through establishing their own businesses. The training course provided by Omani Women Association included tailoring skills and techniques. Participants were also briefed on tips to manage their businesses from home.
On the importance of supporting such initiatives, Sami Omar al Zadjali, Executive Manager- Marketing & Corporate Communications noted, “Being an integral part of the society, we believe at BankDhofar, that it is our responsibility to support various community based initiatives. BankDhofar believes that investing in women basically strengthens families and societies. The Omani Women’s Association has been helping women to realize their potentials; equally, BankDhofar has also been a strong supporter of women empowerment. We are glad to be able to offer our support to this initiative organized by Omani Women’s Association and hope our contribution help participants run their home businesses successfully.”
