MUSCAT: Whispers of Serenity, the first mental wellness clinic in Oman, launched the unique initiative ‘Not Alone Convoy’ in December 2016, where mental health issues were discussed in the different regions of the Sultanate.

The convoy visited six cities namely Seeb, Musandam, Nizwa, Sur, Sohar and ended with Salalah. In its unique journey, the convoy was able to emphasise the significance of mental health as well as shed light on many of the touristic attractions and hidden gems of the Sultanate.

Led by Sayyida Basma al Said, the team celebrated this success with an extraordinary event at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Muscat on May 20, coinciding with the Mental Health Awareness Month.

The event commenced by displaying the highlights of each of the convoy’s destinations, capturing the memorable moments in many of the videos.

This was complemented with short talks presented by the volunteers who described their experience in this volunteering campaign as well as the benefits they gained and the opportunities they were granted to showcase their talents.
