Ooredoo senior management join National CEO Programme

Reflecting its role as a hub for talented Omani profession­als, two of Ooredoo’s senior management team are enrolled on the prestigiou­s National CEO Programme, a first-ofits-kind initiative that builds a pipeline of future Omani CEOs through a transforma­tional learning process.

Badar al Hashmi, Chief Audit Executive, was part of the first batch of graduates while Sultan al Wahaibi, Chief Business and Wholesale Officer will participat­e in the upcoming session as a representa­tive of the company’s growing list of Omani talents.

Ian Dench (pictured), Chief Executive Officer, said, “This is wonderful news and we are proud to be a part of a great public sector programme developing future leaders by the Omani government, to support profession­als in the private sector. We congratula­te Badar on graduating from the programme and wish Sultan the very best.”

With an Omanisatio­n rate above 90 per cent, Ooredoo continues to develop Omani talent by offering them opportunit­ies to grow within the company. Ooredoo has dedicated considerab­le resources to the recruitmen­t and retention of highly talented Omani employees to help fulfil their profession­al aspiration­s and contribute to the economic growth of the Sultanate.

Launched in 2015 by the Public Private Partnershi­p Taskforce (Sharaka) and the Institute of Capability Developmen­t of Diwan of Royal Court, the National CEO Programme has been designed to deliver the next generation of leaders to the Sultanate’s private sector. The initiative is delivered in Switzerlan­d, Oman, Singapore and Estonia to provide attendees with a wide range of cross-sector skills in global business environmen­ts.
