National Defence College marks graduation

MUSCAT: National Defence College (NDC) on Wednesday celebrated the graduation of 4th National Defence Course in a ceremony presided over by Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Minister of Justice.

Held at the college premises in Bait Al Falaj, the ceremony was attended by ministers, senior armed forces officers and senior government officials.

The ceremony began with the Holy Quran recitation followed by a speech by Maj Gen Salim bin Mussalam Qatan, Commander of the National Defence College.

He said: “NDC tasked with preparing national leaders and providing them with knowledge and science that make them capable of proper planning to achieve the state goals. The college is keen to keep pace with the local, regional and internatio­nal issues through studies considered one of the major responsibi­lities of the college.”

In his speech, the NDC chief congratula­ted participan­ts of the 4th course for obtaining Master degree from the Sultan Qaboos University and asked them to use the knowledge they gained from the course in serving the community.

Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Minister of Justice said graduates are lucky that they had the opportunit­y to study at the National Defence College.

The course of National Defence College aims at preparing and rehabilita­ting strategic leaders who will have capabiliti­es required for taking right strategic decisions, contributi­ng effectivel­y to draft general policies and develop national strategies. is
