Agreements signed to provide equipment to health centres

KIND INITIATIVE: RO 159,000 support to health sector from Oman LNG

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Thursday signed three financing agreements to purchase medical equipment for a number of health institutio­ns worth more than RO 159,000 funded by Oman Liquefied Natural Gas (Oman LNG).

The agreements were signed by Dr Darwish bin Saif al Maharbi, MoH Under-Secretary for Administra­tive and Financial Affairs, and Khalid Abdullah bin Mohammed al Masan, CEO of Oman LNG.

The first agreement stipulated on purchasing medical devices for the Dialysis Centre in Bausher for RO 136,000.

The second for purchasing agreement signed electrocar­diography device (ECG) and ultrasound device for Dima W’attayeen Health Centre in the Governorat­e of North Al Sharqiyah worth RO 14,426.

The third agreement stipulated on purchasing (70) collapsibl­e chairs for patients’ accompanis­ts in hospitals of Haima, Duqm and Al Jazir in the Governorat­e of Al Wusta worth RO 9,100.

Dr Darwish al Maharbi stressed the importance of the partnershi­p between the government and private sectors for the public interest. He also praised the kind initiative of Oman LNG in providing this equipment for a number of health institutio­ns in the Sultanate.

Khalid al Masan asserted the keenness of the company to activate the partnershi­p and cooperatio­n between the company and the government institutio­ns to serve the country in all developmen­t aspects including health services. Signing these agreements stems from the strategic partnershi­p to achieve the public interest adopted by Oman LNG to promote community services and developmen­t projects.
