Genesis ranked highest in JD Power IQS study
GENESIS ranked highest among premium automakers in the JD Power 2017 US Initial Quality StudySM (IQS) study released. This was the very first time the Genesis brand was included in the study. There were 13 brands in the premium segment. IQS, now in its 31st year, serves as the industry benchmark for new-vehicle quality measured at 90 days of ownership.
“Achieving the highest ranking among premium brands is a fantastic introduction into the IQS survey for Genesis” said Erwin Raphael, General Manager of Genesis in the US.
The 2017 IQS is based on responses from nearly 80,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2017 model-year vehicles surveyed after 90 days of ownership. The study uses a 233-question survey designed to provide manufacturers with information to facilitate the identification of problems and drive product improvement.
“Receiving this award in our very first year in the US market is a strong testament towards the commitment and meticulous work of Genesis,” said Head of Genesis Brand, Manfred Fitzgerald. “We are definitely on the right track, but this is just the beginning. There is absolutely no compromise when it comes to the quality and safety of our vehicles. We will continue to hold our current and future products to the highest standard to become the most desirable and trusted brand for customers.” A SENIOR level delegation led by Mamoru Yoshida — Senior Audit & Supervisory Board Member, Panasonic Corporation along with Hiroki Soejima, Managing Director, Panasonic Middle East & Africa, visited Oman on July 4, 2017.
