Bangladesh Defence College team visit State Council, SAF Musuem

MUSCAT: Sheikh Nasser bin said bin Nasser al Haddabi and Nasser Rashid Hamed al Bahri, State Council members, welcomed the National Defence College of Bangladesh delegation, headed by Major General Miza Nur Rahman Khan at the State Council on Tuesday.

Al Haddabi welcomed the visiting delegation, and wished them a good stay in the Sultanate and hoped that the visit achieves its desired objectives in supporting the bilateral cooperatio­n between the two countries.

He praised the close relations between the Sultanate and Bangladesh and its developmen­t in various fields and the close ties between the two friendly countries.

Major General Miza Nur Rahman Khan, head of the visting delegation, thanked the State Council members for the warm reception and expressed their happiness over the visit.

He shared sincere admiration for the developmen­t witnessed in all fields of developmen­t under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos.

Al Hadabi briefed the visiting delegation on the role of Majlis Ash’Shura and the State Council.

He expressed the hope that the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Bangladesh would witness further developmen­t, prosperity and developmen­t in a manner that will contribute to the realizatio­n of their common interests.

At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the building of the Council during which he learned about his various facilities.

The National Defence College of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh also visited the Armed Forces Museum on Tuesday.

The museum director accompanie­d them on a tour of the museum’s many galleries. The delegation was briefed on the manuscript­s and items on display at the museum in Bait al Falaj

At the end of the visit, the visiting delegation leader recorded a speech in which he expressed his pleasure at the great military heritage and the Sultanate’s rich cultural heritage.
