Forum discusses how women can add value to innovation and business
Women Entrepreneurs from Arab countries exchanged brilliant ideas on ways of handling the challenges of businesses and meeting the hassles of marketing on the opening day of the Second Arab Forum for Women Entrepreneurs on Tuesday.
The forum was inaugurated by Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan bin Hamoud al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar in presence of a large number of Arab women entrepreneurs and other stakeholders of the sector.
The forum focused on enhancing the role of women in adding value to entrepreneurship and the business system with thrust on how the entrepreneurs can participate in economic development by supporting start-up projects, developing them and transforming them into successful business, industrial, commercial, service and financing systems.
The participants drawn from 22 countries and special invitees from China and Malaysia are to cover wider areas of entrepreneurship issues during the three-day event at Rotana Salalah Resort.
The Forum is being organised with support from Public Authority for Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) and Directorate of Tourism in Dhofar. Participation of World Youth Business Club is making the Forum more meaningful for the participants.
Amna Khadem al Awadi, Chairperson of the Organising Committee and the General Supervisor of the Form said this year’s forum is being organised under the theme of ‘Towards global entrepreneurship’.
“The forum is with international keen to experts connect in the fields of entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises to discuss the requirements for innovation, entrepreneurship, constraints and practical solutions to the success of these projects and their transformation into economic change and overall development,” she said.
The forum, according to her, would work on enhancing the role of women in adding value to entrepreneurship and the business system. “
It will also focus on how entrepreneurs can participate in economic development by supporting start-up projects, developing them and transforming them into successful business, industrial, commercial, service and financing systems.”
The sessions here are designed to highlight the role of business women leaders and how they add value to innovation, entrepreneurship, business and sustainable development.
It would also provide opportunities for discussion among local, regional and international experts and discussions on the key role of business leaders in developing their enterprises.
