BankDhofar sponsors 2nd Arab Forum for Women Entrepreneurs
MUSCAT: Reiterating its efforts that aim at developing the SME sector in the Sultanate, BankDhofar supported the 2nd Arab Forum for Women Entrepreneurs that was held during August 8-10 at Salalah Rotana Resort under the patronage of HE Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar.
The 3-day event brought together women entrepreneurs from the Arab world, as well as investors, and those interested in SME and entrepreneurship industry, the forum highlighted opportunities and challenges facing women entrepreneurs, in addition to various key topics related to SME industry as well as the importance of supporting start-ups.
Commenting on the sponsorship and BankDhofar’s support to the development of the SME scene across Oman, Abdul Hakeem al Ojaili, CEO of BankDhofar noted: “The SME sector is a vital contributor to the growth and diversification of the national economy. The event provided a platform to discuss issues relevant to women entrepreneurs in the Arab world and potential solutions to overcome such challenges.
