Musharaka conference concludes

MUSCAT: The “Musharaka 2017” conference concluded on Thursday with the title “Empowering the Future”. The conference discussed a number of working papers in the field of renewable energy and modern technology in the energy and electricit­y sectors over five days. Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communicat­ions, attended the closing ceremony of the conference held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Muscat.

Hassan bin Mohammed al Lawati, Chairman of the Nama Holding Group, said, conducting of such a conference provides a kind of motivation, awareness and capabiliti­es to the employees, especially young and middle leaders, of the latest internatio­nal developmen­ts in this sector.

The conference attracted a number of internatio­nal talent to enlighten the group’s employees of the latest technologi­es, policies and programmes related to the electricit­y sector. He expressed the hope that this will be reflected in the performanc­e of employees and the developmen­t of joint strategies of the group.

He added that the group will focus on a range of programmes including the efficiency of the group, the management of financial and awareness programmes, health, safety and customer services, indicating that the assets of Nama Holding Group exceeded RO 3.5 billion. He added that there is a large volume of investment­s being pumped until the electricit­y sector is developed and the needs of modern regions and developmen­t are met in the Sultanate.

The ceremony honoured winners of the group’s award this year, companies and individual­s, to motivate them and to achieve the maximum possible benefit from developmen­t programmes. The awards were Nama Award for best performing company in the group in the field of consumer services, health and safety, financial performanc­e, Nama Health and Safety Award, and Nama Award for the Ideal Employee and Emerging Leader.
