National CEO Programme begins

-

LAUSANNE: The third gathering of the National CEO Programme (NCP) started in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Initiated by the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Taskforce “Sharaka” and delivered through the Institute of Capability Development (ICD) at the Diwan of Royal Court, the NCP is contributing to the diversification of the Sultanate’s economy by developing a community of world-class private sector leaders.

The NCP provides the participants with the latest strategic leadership tools and techniques to help them redefine key sectors of the global economy and so to create value on their own terms.

The 1st module for the 3rd cohort has been redesigned to reflect the changing nature of the global economy. As flat oil prices, global sociopolitical instability and surprising international leadership choices have all made for a more challenging business environment now more than ever, private sector leaders need to demonstrate agility and flexibility in how they prepare for and respond to uncertainty. During the module, participants will explore key trends in the global environment and translate this into meaning for Oman’s private sector, their organisations, their teams and their leadership roles.

Personal leadership coaches work with the participants to identify future ambitions, current obstacles and tactics for exploiting their leadership opportunities.

Time is spent exploring world-class thinking in the Lausanne classroom, team building outside in the Alps and understanding organisational transformation through experiential visits to Hublot, Nestlé and the Cern Institute. The 1st module also introduces participants to their leadership coaches and kick starts the project application process.
