Nepal hails HM role in world peace, stability

On his turn, Shanker Das Bairagi, Foreign Secretary of Nepal, said the signing of the memorandum of understand­ing (MoU) between the two sides on political consultati­ons “an important platform” that will open new avenues of cooperatio­n between the two friendly countries.

He added that the Sultanate and Nepal seek to sign new agreements to regularise recruitmen­t of Nepali workforce in the Sultanate and both countries will explore opportunit­ies and potentials available to serve the interests of both sides.

He called on Omani investors to invest in Nepal and benefit from incentives and facilities offered by his country’s government. The press conference was attended by Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, Nepali Ambassador appointed Sultanate, as well as local and Nepali media.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser al Bakri, Minister of Manpower met at the Grand Hyatt Muscat Farmullah Mansur, Minister of Labour and Employment of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

The two sides reviewed fields of cooperatio­n and coordinati­on between the two countries in relation to issues of labour, in addition to exchanging expertise in these fields. The two sides also discussed enhancing such relations for the interest of the two friendly countries.
