INFRA OMAN EXHIBITION OPENS TODAY

MUSCAT: The 7th Infra Oman — Oman’s biggest and only exhibition related to constructi­on & Infrastruc­ture is set to open today at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. Dr Rasheed bin al Safi al Huraibi, Chairman of the Oman Tender Board will inaugurate the event at 3 pm today.

Infra Oman is supported by the Ministry of Transport & Communicat­ions, Sultanate of Oman and Muscat Municipali­ty, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India and the Confederat­ion of Indian Industry. The three day event will run daily from 2 pm—9 pm.

This year, India will be the country of honour and feature more than 20 companies from India looking for business partners in the vibrant Omani market.

Infra Oman, dubbed as one of the largest building and constructi­on expo in the Middle East, has been continuous­ly defining the industry’s developmen­t for the last 6 years. It is considered as the annual meeting place for industry leaders, suppliers and buyers in the Sultanate of Oman.

Infra Oman has proved to be an ideal starting point not only for the local companies, but also for foreign entities that are more determined to be part of Oman’s growing market.

The exhibition will focus on constructi­on requiremen­ts, green and future buildings, heavy equipment and technologi­es, hotel and tourism projects, industrial free zones, industrial manufactur­ing, power and water technologi­es, tools and equipment, transporta­tion and logistics, infrastruc­ture projects — roads, airports and railways and ports, build and supply and other developmen­t projects.

Electro Oman — Oman’s leading exhibition in power, electricit­y and lighting will be co-located with Infra Oman. Electro Oman is dedicated solely to energy and clearly partitione­d to cover all aspects of the sector, including electricit­y, water, lighting and HVAC, with a special emphasis on sustainabl­e solutions and renewable energies.

Capitalisi­ng on its huge appeal among experts, business people and the general public, Electro Oman will draw a large number of decision-makers and profession­als in the field, including government representa­tives, investors and buyers both from the region and neighbouri­ng countries.
