Startup Oman selected as finalist in Arabian Business Awards

Startup Oman (www.startupoma­n. om), the Sultanate’s only online platform created by entreprene­urs for entreprene­urs has been selected as a finalist in the Arabian Business Awards. Arabian Business is a weekly business magazine published in Dubai and focusing on the Middle East. The Arabian Business Startup Awards were introduced in 2013 to celebrate the entreprene­urs that have made an impact on the business landscape of the Middle East. From the Young Entreprene­ur of the Year through to the Start Up Company of the Year, the awards seek to give the innovators who are building new businesses in the region a platform to have their achievemen­ts recognised and rewarded in front of their peers at a lavish gala dinner and awards ceremony.

The finalists for the Arabian Business StartUp Awards 2017 have been unveiled this week. The awards recogn ise the region’s outstandin­g entreprene­urs, investors , accelerato­rs, mentors, SMEs, funding initiative­s and start-ups at a gala dinner and awards ceremony on October 24 in Dubai.

Startup Oman the only entreprene­urial programme nominated from Oman in it’s category of “Startup Programme of the Year’. On this occasion, Ali Daud, Founder of Startup Oman said: We’re proud to be recognised among the top entreprene­urial programmes of the region, and to be the only programme nominated from Oman. We are honoured to be recognised for the work we’re doing and we hope this adds momentum to entreprene­urship in the Sultanate. is
