- ZAINAB AL NASSRI MUSCAT, NOV 11

An Omani company that makes perfumes has won two international awards in a global competition held in Dubai.

Oman Luxury Fragrances Company, founded by three young Omanis, Mutassim Rashid al Hinai, Muadh Majid al Sinawi and Ahmed Yahya al Esri in 2002, won awards at the ‘Fragrance Foundation Arabia’ competition held recently.

While one award was for the ‘Best Arabian Male Fragrance of the Year’, the other was for the ‘Best Social Media Marketing Campaign’ in 2017.

Fragrance Foundation Arabia is part of a global organisation, The Fragrance Foundation’ (TFF), which has well-known international fragrance brands and cosmetics as its members.

“We have made the Omani market a steady in through our branches in Muscat Governorate, Al Qurm and Al Hail. Our goal is to go global,” Al Hinai said. He said the company’s identity, designs and products are inspired by authen- tic Omani environment. “Incense, spices, narcissus, jasmine, basil and others are some of the ingredients used in manufacturing perfumes.”

On their company winning the award, he said it reflects the true image of young Omanis. He cited His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, who had said: “It is important that each citizen should be responsible for his homeland without dependency or reliance on others and contribute seriously and work with sincerity to accomplish our national tasks that call us to glorify the work as a noble value that gives life a useful positive content as a sacred duty imperative to faith in the right of the homeland to its people.”
