Finale of Nama Ambassador­s 2017 Programme on Dec 14

Nama Group will hold the closing ceremony of its ‘Nama Ambassador­s 2017 Programme on December 14, 2017 in the Ministry of Education auditorium in Al Watayah, where the winning teams will be announced.

The ceremony will be held under the auspices of Dr Madiha bint Ahmed al Shibani, Minister of Education, with the attendance of Hassan bin Mohamed al Lawati, Chairman of Nama Group, and Eng Omar bin Khalfan al Wahaibi, CEO of the Group, in addition to a number of ministers, under-secretarie­s and representa­tives from Nama Group institutio­ns.

The Nama Ambassador­s Programme, held for the second consecutiv­e year, is an important sustainabi­lity initiative conducted by Nama Group targeting students from secondary schools, universiti­es and colleges plus vocational training centres to acquaint them with sustainabl­e developmen­t concepts and motivate them to create projects that serve the community. The programme aims to encourage students to work collective­ly and manage sustainabl­e projects, and through their active roles as Ambassador­s of Nama, introduce these skills to their peers in the service of Oman. A total of 60 projects were received by Nama Group from May to September 2017. The projects will be screened in the final evaluation stage by a special jury.

In the early stages of the programme, the project included a student training phase that lasted for more than three months with remarkable outcomes.
