Shura launches e-projects, app

MUSCAT: Majlis Ash ’shura on Sunday launched a number of e-projects which included the visual identity, the new website and smart phones applicatio­ns of the Majlis in addition of some pages, internal regulation­s such as the e-documentat­ion of the council’s documents.

The launch ceremony was presided over by Nasr bin Hamood al Kindi, Secretary-General of Royal Court Affairs in the presence of a number of Majlis Ash ’shura members and employees.

Shaikh Ali bin Nasser al Mahrouqi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash ’shura, delivered a speech at the event in which he hailed the efforts exerted by the council’s employees over the previous period which resulted in a number of e-projects in cooperatio­n with the joint administra­tion of the Council of Oman.

The Shura experience in e-transforma­tion and community outreach is leading and attractive for the rest of the institutio­ns to benefit from it in the local and regional arenas.

The chief guest launched the visual identity of the Majlis Ash’ shura whose significan­ce comes from being one of the most important tools for the unificatio­n of the general organisati­onal framework of the council’s work and activities.

The Majlis Ash’ shura new website comes as an integrated window that enables the council to present a comprehens­ive media service. It will highlight the vital role played by Majlis Ash’shura on both legal and oversight aspects.

The website was designed in accordance to internatio­nal standards of websites. It also fulfils the requiremen­ts of parliament­ary websites as per the specificat­ions set by the InterParli­amentary Union.
