Knowledge Oman appoints new president
MUSCAT: Knowledge Oman, the leading community knowledgesharing platform in the Sultanate, has named Khalfan Said Nasser al Mahrazy (pictured) as the President of Knowledge Oman as part of its mission to promote talents and strengthen the platform operations with the various stakeholders that support community engagements and developments in the Sultanate.
Khalfan, 36 years old, has over 12 years of leadership experience in telecommunication industry with diverse expertise on people management, project management, workforce management, and community initiatives allowing him to blend both technology and management to manage the operation of the platform. Khalfan is an MBA candidate from the Liverpool University and is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management. Khalfan attended the regional International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) for the US Department of States where emerging leaders from the Middle East and North African region meet, discuss and exchange ideas pertaining to critical subjects that include society development and innovation.
Khalfan joined Knowledge Oman in 2008 as a member playing active role in the community engagement where he was promoted to lead a team of professional local and expat moderators and then later become its Vice President before leaving the platform in 2013. Khalfan is now back in Knowledge Oman as the President.
Reporting to the Founder and Chairman Tariq al Barwani, Khalfan’s responsibilities include leading the diverse team of professional local and expats living in the Sultanate along with the operations, projects, initiatives and partners that work together to create and introduce a blend of community programmes that has benefit to the society.
