Kuwaiti contempora­ry art exhibition opens

MUSCAT: The Kuwaiti Contempora­ry Art Exhibition, organised by the Omani Society for Fine Arts (OSFA) of the Sultan Qaboos Center for Culture and Science of the Royal Court, was opened at OSFA headquarte­rs under the patronage of Sayyid Kamil bin Mahmood al Said.

The exhibition is organised in cooperatio­n with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature in Kuwait.

The patron of the ceremony honoured the Kuwaiti artists participat­ing in the exhibition. After that, he opened the exhibition and toured its corners.

The exhibition hosts 41 works of art and will remain open to the public until December 26.

The exhibition comes in the light of the mutual cooperatio­n between OSFA and the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature in the State of Kuwait in enriching the fine art scene.

The exhibition also comes within the framework of the objectives of OSFA in taking the march of the art movement in the Sultanate towards further developmen­t and prosperity by providing the basic requiremen­ts of the Omani or resident artists or in order to give him the opportunit­y to meet with different artistic experience­s.

Participat­ing in the exhibition are the artists Mahmoud Ashkanani, Ali Noman, Mohammed al Shaikh, Nora al Abdalhadi, Abdullah al Othman, Fawzia Hayat, Ibtisam al Asfour and Nawaf al Armali.
