ISWK win and lose in Under-13 League

MUSCAT: Indian School Wadi Kabir (ISWK) rode on a brilliant 158-run thirdwicke­t partnershi­p between Abhas Ajay Jaltare and Raj Kumar to thrash Bosher Olympic Center (BOC) by 126 runs in a Junior League Under-13 A game at Muscat Municipali­ty ground 2 in Al Amerat.

Batting first, ISWK piled up 215 for 2 in 20 overs thanks to superb batting by Abhas (83 not out off 40 balls) and Raj Kumar (73 not out off 48). Akash Santhosh batted well too for his 32-ball 48.

Finding the going tough in the face of a massive target, BOC folded up for a paltry 89 in exactly 20 overs. Unfortunat­ely, four of BOC batsmen were run out. BRIEF SCORES: ISWK Under 13 A 215 for 2 in 20 overs (Abhas Ajay Jaltare 83 not out – 7x4, Raj Kumar 73 not out – 5x4, Akash Santhosh – 7x4) defeated BOC 89 all out in 20 overs (Mithran Amarnath 17 – 1x4) by 126 runs.

ISAS SINK ISWK In another Under-13 B Junior League game, Indian School Al Seeb (ISAS) trounced ISWK by seven wickets at Muscat Municipali­ty ground 1.

ISWK won the toss and batting first but could manage a mediocre 113 for 7 in 20 overs. Nitish Madendla topscored with 39 off 45 balls. Saraava Puthiya and Sanjay Venugopal claimed three and two wickets respective­ly.

ISAS raced to the target in the 16th over thanks to a responsibl­e 51 not out off 52 balls by Aryan Raju Bisht. Anas Mirza Baig bagged two wickets. BRIEF SCORES: ISWK Under-13 B 113 for 7 in 20 overs (Nitish Madendla 39 – 2x4. Saraava Puthiya 3-14, Sanjay Venugopal 2-12) lost to ISAS 115 for 3 in 15.4 overs (Aryan Raju Bisht 51 not out – 6x4. Anas Mirza Baig 2-31) by 7 wickets.
