“The number of tourists coming from Europe to Oman is increasing each year. In fact, the Sultanate is classified by many international media and specialised organisations as a favourite tourist destination in the tourism at an international Middle East. This factor encourages us to study new markets such as the US market. Since we are participating in the Travel and Adventure Show 2018 in Washington DC, we will gather indicators and data pertaining to the desires of American’s tourists to use as a database for planning for the future,” said Salim.

Preparations are in full swing for the event that is expected thousands of visitors. “Oman will surprise and delight as it has me,” said Beatrice A Brickell, the director of Oman Magic LLC who has had three trips to Oman since her first visit in 2015.

She added, “White sand beaches along the Arabian Sea; mountains where roses grow and snow may fall; quaint villages, ancient gold souks, the bounty of the sea grilled to perfection; and a chance to meet some of the friendliest people in the world. This year Oman for the first time will be presented to the more than 20,000 American travellers and travel professionals expected to attend the Washington DC Travel and Adventure Expo in January, 2018.

Many of them, like me, have travelled the world but know little or nothing about Oman. Our mission is to change that with displays and videos, brochures and information and special tours for booking, and more. We hope to meet you there!”

For many Americans, Oman is still an undiscovered treasure said Tanya Haralampieva, business development manager at Oman Magic LLC

“Even from my first visit to Oman, I fell in love with Oman’s rich heritage and was touched by the warmness of Omani hospitality. I was amazed by the spectacular diversity of Oman’s landscapes from lush green oasis dotting the dessert, to ancient forts, to snorkeling in turquoise tropical waters. Oman is not just beautiful but safe. It is my hope these treasures be shared and discovered by my fellow Americans. The January’s Travel & Adventure Show in DC is the perfect venue to connect with as many as 50,000 interested visitors and travel professionals in one place,” said Tanya.
