IP SMASHERS CLAIM NATIONAL DAY CRICKET TITLE

MUSCAT: IP Smashers beat HC Shah Auditors by six wickets to win the National Day of Oman women’s cricket cup on December 29 at the Ghubra Power Plant ground.

On the occasion of 47th National Day of Oman, Gulf Cricket Centre had organised the tournament.

Chief guest Dr VT Vinodan, Managing Director of Badr Al Saama group of hospitals distributed the prizes.

Arun Kumar Pandey, General Manager of Al Yam Enterprises, Lateef Shahdad, General Manager of Mass International Co. LLC, Sabir Yumkhaibam, Second Secretary (Commerce) of Embassy of India, Dad Mohammed al Balushi, Member of Oman Cricket, MA Hossain, Managing Director of Fahad Logistics, Muniza Shahdad, Seema Arun Pandey, Asha Tiwari, Lakshmi Kothaneth and Mehul K Mehta were the guests of honour. Individual awards Best batswoman: Fiza (IP smashers), best bowler: Reshma (IP smashers), best all-rounder: Hina, best fielder: Surya (HC shah).

The main sponsor for the tournament was Al Yam Enterprises who has always been offered magnificent support to the Gulf Cricket Centre.
