PDO, Trust Oilfield and Fahad Express win
MUSCAT: Superb all-round performance by Abdul Naveed led PDO to an easy 55-run victory against Attic Outdoors in a Raha Poly Products-sponsored C Division match at Muscat Municipality ground 1 in Al Amerat.
Batting first, PDO piled up 207 for 6 in 20 overs. Abdul Naveed topscored with 77 off 51 balls while Azhar Habib slammed 68 off 38. Mujtaba Ahmed and Roswin Anto bagged two wickets each.
Attic Outdoors never really recovered from Hassan Siddiui’s twin strike in the first over and 152 for 7 was all it could gather in the allotted 20 overs. Zun Noorain topscored with an unbeaten 51 off 37 while Shakeel Khan whacked 33 off 16. Rajesh Khetani claimed three wickets while Abdul Naveed bowled well too, taking two wickets. Asked to bat first, MARH posted 151 for 5 on the board in 20 overs thanks to valuable knocks by Muhammed Rizwan (49 off 38) and Vishal Shetty (42 off 21). Shakeel Khan took two wickets.
Trust Oilfield overhauled the target in 17.4 overs, scoring 154 for 6. Apart from Mujeeb’s hurricane knock that included 5 towering sixes, Qamar Nazir batted well too, contributing 30 off 22. SOORAJ STEERS FAHAD EXPRESS TO MASSIVE WIN
Captain Sooraj Raj powered Fahad Express to a massive 10-wicket win over MCCC A in an E Division game on Friday in Al Amerat.
MCCC A was dismissed 110 in 18.2 overs with Sooraj taking four wickets while Hafiz Noman bagged two. Young Muzahir raza was the only batsman to impress, scoring a solid 40 off 52.
Fahad Express raced to the target in just 8.3 overs, scoring 111 for no loss thanks to its openers Sooraj Raj (51 off 26) and Sherin Varghese (50 off 26) remaining unbeaten.
