Teachers’ effort in carrying the torch for education hailed

-

MUSCAT: The Sultanate on Saturday marked the Omani Teacher’s Day in recognition of the teachers’ efforts they exert in serving the educational process.

On this occasion, Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, addressed the teaching and administrative staffs.

She extended her thanks and appreciation for the sincere efforts they are making to deliver their educational message and raise the children properly.

The Ministry of Education continues to benefit from the teachers’ opinions and proposals aimed at leveraging the educational standard of students and their efforts to ensure that quality educational services are delivered to our students.

These efforts, the minister said, have resulted in positive levels of education in both the local and international levels.

The educational sector has received Royal attention from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos since the very beginning of the blessed Renaissance.

It is a good chance, while marking the Omani Teacher’s Day, to consider the directives given by His Majesty in his address to the nation on the occasion of the second National Day in 1972 in which His Majesty urged the teachers to set the best examples for their students and to inculcate them with the religious values and raise them to high morals and the spirit of patriotism so that they grow up to be generations cable of shouldering responsibilities.

EXCELLENCE AWARD The Ministry of Education will launch the Excellence Awards for Omani teachers from the beginning of the academic year 2018-2019. The award is part of the national initiatives to highlight the role of teachers for contributing to the communities through effective educational practices and teaching methods.
