ROBOTS TO GUIDE AIR PASSENGERS NEW IDENTITY
MUSCAT: Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) on Sunday launched its new brand identity under the auspices of Yahya bin Saeed al Jabri, Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm, Chairman of Oman Airports.
The green colour symbolises the new commercial identity of the tourism sector and blue civil aviation sector, which is a reference to beauty of the Sultanate as a tourism destination. The golden colour symbolises the logistics sector and silver the industrial sector in reference to the opportunities that the Sultanate has as a diverse investment environment with various growth opportunities for businesses and as an attractive environment to investors. The red colour in the logo comes in the middle as a focal point of interest.
The audio identity of Oman Airports was also inaugurated. It is inspired by an old Omani folk song that was sung at the opening of Oman’s first airport, Bait Al Falaj.
Shaikh Ayman bin Ahmed al Hosani, CEO of Oman Airports, said that the new identity of Oman Airports will give a new dimension and a big push towards further work at a very important stage before starting operations at the new Muscat International Airport, which is a great landmark and a new addition to the achievements of the Blessed Renaissance era. For the first time in the world, two robots impersonating the airport staff will be guiding travellers inside the airport after its March 20 inauguration. The robots were unveiled at the event.
