Lifetime movie pass winner announced

IN support of developing Oman’s youth, Bank Sohar recently hosted a number of 9th grade students from Al Sahwa Schools and provided them an introducti­on to the banking and finance industry. Students were given a tour in Bank Sohar’s Al Qurum branch where they also received some tips on money management and banking and finance, with valuable insights on profession­al developmen­t in this critical industry.

Key representa­tives of the bank in attendance included Mutheer Sulaiman al Kalbani, Head of Learning Center & Organizati­onal Developmen­t, Hussein al Shalwani, Sr Chief Manager — Relationsh­ip Banking, as well as Maha al Lawati, Manager of Events and Promotions. The visit initiated with a branch tour led by Hussein Shalwani who explained to the students different products and services typically provided by a banking institutio­n. LUNAR Cinema has announced the winner of its Lifetime Achievemen­t Award, which is the first of its kind in Oman, with a market value of $1 million. The announceme­nt ceremony organised by the cinema under the auspices of HH Sayyida Hujaija al Said at Al Araimi Complex in Al Qurum.

The ceremony, which was attended by a group of media profession­als, journalist­s and those interested in the cinema world, included the announceme­nt of the winner of a lifetime ticket, For the public halls, in addition to a visual presentati­on on cinema. Khalid al Nabhani, CEO of Lunar Cinema, said, “The project aims to enrich the cinematic culture in the Sultanate through its competitio­ns as well as special offers that coincide with different holidays and events. Lunar Cinema has received great response and requests for expansion which is being studied now as it is expected to announce the opening of branches of cinema in other places soon.”
