Bank Sohar sponsors Gulf Disability Society Forum

MUSCAT: Furthering its commitment to the welfare of various community segments, Bank Sohar recently sponsored the Gulf Disability Society’s 18th Special Needs Forum, organised in collaboration with Oman Association for the Hearing Impaired under the theme ‘Tourism of the Disabled: Reality and Outlook’ under the auspices of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat.

The four-day event started with an inaugural ceremony held in the Grand Millennium Hotel in Bausher where Mazin Mahmood al Raisi, Sr AGM Marketing and Customer Experience, attended the ceremony on behalf of Bank Sohar and received a token of appreciation from the organisers recognising the bank’s efforts in supporting communities and disability causes across the country.

Tourism officials from across the region attended the forum, joined by leaders in hospitality, aviation, transportation and airport management, who collectively discussed the importance of accommodating people with disabilities in planning and executing tourism projects, and also reviewed regional and international experiences, challenges and solutions.
