Unity Charity Expo to open on April 26

Associatio­n for the Welfare of Handicappe­d Children’s Unity Charity Expo is all set to happen on April 26 to 28 at Kempinski Hotel, Al Mouj, Muscat supported by Oman Arab Bank.

Sayyida Hujaija bint Jaifer al Said, Chairperso­n of Associatio­n for the Welfare of Handicappe­d Children, said the associatio­n rehabilita­tes children from five years to fourteen years old. The associatio­n that was establishe­d in 1991 has 400 children represente­d in 10 different governorat­es of Oman.”

The Associatio­n depends on support from the government and donations as well as the contributi­on from the private sector.

“The reason for doing the expo is to handle the financial challenges and to introduce the associatio­n to the society at the same time to support Omani business women by giving the opportunit­y to showcase their products to the community,” added Sayyida Hujaija.

More than 90 women are participat­ing in the expo with their products varying from clothes, incense, creams and everything a women need as well as children. This is also preparatio­ns aimed at Ramadan and Eid. The opening ceremony will be held on April 26 at 4 pm.

“We will be having special invitees on April 26 and 27 in a way to introduce them to the enterprisi­ng Omani women entreprene­urs. The entreprene­urs have shown their complete support to the associatio­n and the social media influencer­s as well will have their presence on the opening night to extend their support to the associatio­n,” said Sayyida Hujaija.
