-

MUSCAT: The Secretariat General of the Supreme Council of Planning on Thursday inaugurated the self-service system within the Human Resource Information Management System (al Mawrid) for the Secretariat staff under the auspices of Sultan bin Hamdoon al Harthy, Adviser at the Secretariat General, as part of the Secretariat General efforts to develop its human resources system, in cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Service.

The self-service system is one of the systems implemented by the Ministry of Civil Service within the framework of the e-government transformation plan and the provision of e-government services to the employee (G-E). The self-service system has been launched in several government units that implement the HRM system.

The self-service system is provided to reduce paper handling in personnel procedures, save time and effort to staff and human resources departments, and provide immediate data. The employee can, through the system, inquire and conduct services electronically, in addition to access to the job data and decisions and circulars issued by the Ministry of Civil Service.

The system also provides a programme called ‘Tawasul’ involving employees of civil service, which is an area where staff interact to make their suggestions and views from various civil service providers.
