Gulf Cup winning Oman team bestowed with Injazatuna Award

Oman national football team clinched the Injazatuna award for achievemen­t and youth excellence in the team category for their historic 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup victory in Kuwait last January.

The committee for Injazatuna award for achievemen­t and youth excellence, instituted by the Ministry of Sports Affairs, announced all the results of competitio­ns after completion of the evaluation for different applicatio­ns that the committee received during the competitio­n time.

Mohammed al Amri, head of Injazatuna award for achievemen­t and youth excellence, announced the winners at a press conference at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher on Thursday.

Oman Table Tennis Committee grabbed the award for achievemen­ts and excellence for the developmen­t and promotion of table tennis around the Sultanate.

The Mazoon theatre team claimed the achievemen­t and youth excellence award for the best show for teams at Al Sawari theatre Festival.

Athlete Mohammed al Sulimani clinched Injazatuna award for achievemen­t and youth excellence.

Salim al Habsi got achievemen­t and youth excellence Injazatuna award after he won the GCC leaders creative and youth excellence award (Innovation category).

Mohammed al Mashaiki was crowned with the Injazatuna award for people with disabiliti­es. He had clinched the silver medal at the World Cup athletics for disabiliti­es in London in 2017.

Injazatuna award committee, in its fifth edition, had received as many as 55 applicatio­ns from different sports associatio­ns, committees, different civil and volunteeri­ng organisati­ons.

The awards ceremony will be held on May 7 at Sheraton Hotel at 12 pm under auspices of Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour bin Said al Hasani. Minister of Informatio­n.
