Bank Muscat celebrates al Wathbah Academy graduation in Nizwa

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, in step with its vision ‘To serve you better, everyday’ and commitment to strengthen support to small and medium enterprises (SMES), marked the graduation of the fifth batch of al Wathbah Academy in Nizwa under the auspices of Abdullah bin Saif al Shandodi, Head of the Commerce and Industry department, Nizwa. Twelve entrepreneurs from Dakhiliyah Governorate successfully completed the SME training programme to acquire accredited international certification.

Hamdan bin Hamood al Bimani, Regional Manager — North Dakhiliyah branches, in his welcome address noted that the unique al Wathbah Academy programme reflects the bank’s commitment to sustainable social development, strengthening the role of SMES in the economic development of Oman. Al Wathbah Academy programmes are organised across Oman to impart the required skills and guidance for entrepreneurs drawn from diverse fields to embark on successful SME business ventures, he added.
