Oman-poland cooperatio­n reviewed at joint meetings

WARSAW: Polish Senate Speaker Stanislaw Karczewski on Thursday received the State Council delegation of the Oman-poland Friendship Committee, which is currently visiting Poland. Salim bin Ismail bin Suwaid, head of the Omani-poland Friendship Committee, is leading the delegation.

The Speaker welcomed the delegation and hailed the relations between the Sultanate and Poland and commended the prospects for its developmen­t in various areas.

He noted the role of the Omanpolish parliament­ary friendship committee in furthering ties.

Salim bin Ismail bin Suwaid emphasised that the Sultanate is keen to strengthen cooperatio­n with Poland and expressed the expectatio­n that the visit would contribute to the opening up of new prospects for bilateral cooperatio­n in all areas.

The committee held discussion session under the chairmansh­ip of Salim bin Ismail bin Suwaid and the Vice-president of the Polish Senate and chairman of the committee in the presence of members of the committees.

During the talks, relations between the Sultanate and Poland were reviewed.

The Polish Senate Vice-president welcomed the delegation and underscore­d the role of the visit in consolidat­ing relations between the two councils and supporting areas of common concern.

Salim bin Ismail bin Suwaid highlighte­d the important role of mutual visits in deepening cooperatio­n.

The meetings were attended by members of the committee, Nada Hassan al Jamali, Rahma Hamed al Musharrafi, Dr Saleh Salem Salem al Busaidi and Mohammed Salem al Khathiri.
