Bank Nizwa observes Ramadhan with host of charitable activities

MUSCAT: Bank Nizwa supported and participat­ed in a charitable event held to encourage the spirit of giving in the holy month of Ramadhan. Organised in collaborat­ion with Dar Al Ata’a Associatio­n, Bank Nizwa hosted the event at its headquarte­rs with participat­ion of its employees who raised awareness on the importance of giving in the holy month of Ramadan and raising funds for the less fortunate across the Sultanate.

Sayyida Wisam al Said, Acting Head-corporate Communicat­ions at Bank Nizwa, said, “We pride ourselves at Bank Nizwa for our long-standing tradition of engaging people and enriching their lives financiall­y, environmen­tally and socially. The event we hosted was a great opportunit­y for our team to give back to the community and raise awareness on the importance of giving and blessing others in the holy month.”

For the fifth year running, Bank Nizwa’s ‘Masoliyati’ programme has also launched its Ramadan charity campaign to distribute food hampers to lowincome households in Oman. Commenting on the donation drive, Anil Khimji, Director of Khimji Ramdas, said, “Thinking of others and looking outwards is an important activity during the Holy Month. We thank all the people who voluntaril­y come forward and continue to support Eshraqa’s blood donation drive.. This year 292 staff accompanie­d by family members and friends donated blood. We further acknowledg­e the Blood Bank of Oman and the Ministry of Health for their dedicated efforts towards the care and treatment of local communitie­s, notably their work to ensure that blood reserves remain ample and lives continue to be saved.” network issues and tending to any damage caused by the storm.
