Partnershi­p, Social Responsibi­lity Forum on October 15

MUSCAT: The second session of Oman Partnershi­p and Social Responsibi­lity Forum will begin on October 15. The forum, a training platform, aims to sustain social responsibi­lity programmes, share experience­s of success and raise standards of responsibl­e community performanc­e.

On the first day, the forum will discuss two themes, namely ‘Sustainabi­lity Mechanisms of Social Responsibi­lity Programmes’, which discusses employment mechanisms for sectoral programmes and highlights the sustainabi­lity of community programmes.

The second theme will discuss the “Challenges of Organising Social Responsibi­lity Sector” and the procedures and legislatio­ns to develop the sector and the national methodolog­y for participat­ory social investment.

The second day of the forum will be dedicated to holding training sessions by specialist­s and experts in the field of social responsibi­lity and public relations in many areas, including the role of human resources in the sustainabi­lity of corporate social responsibi­lity programmes, the basics of the philosophy of social responsibi­lity from an Islamic perspectiv­e and the reconsider­ation of corporate social responsibi­lity in education, in addition to how the private sector develops sustainabl­e cities and measuring levels of sustainabi­lity: Malaysia as a model.
