NBC signs incubation pacts with two Omani start-ups

The National Business Centre (NBC) signed agreements to provide incubation services to Al Dhaw Sustainabi­lity Energy Company and Salikon for Knowledge Company. The agreements were signed in the presence of Malak al Shaibani, Director General of NBC.

Al Dhaw Sustainabi­lity Energy Company is specialise­d in providing studies of grid power system, and studies of renewable energy, its tools and reduction of its impact using specialise­d electrical system software.

Al Dhaw aims at helping customers (electricit­y sector companies) to find appropriat­e designs and appropriat­e points to connect (POC) renewable energy network, creating designs and solutions in the renewable energy and electricit­y, finding points for selling renewable energy technologi­es, among other objectives.

Salikon second for Knowledge, the incubated company, was establishe­d in 2018 as a company specialise­d in sustainabl­e community developmen­t that supportskn­owledgeand­profession­al guidance through comprehens­ive services and programmes for local and external communitie­s. Salikon offers interactiv­e workshops and specialise­d programmes in partnershi­p with public, private and civil society bodies.

The two companies will benefit from the services offered by NBC in counsellin­g and guiding companies, and providing intensive training, coaching and mentoring with the aspiration of building entreprene­urial skills through a cutting-edge environmen­t that allows entreprene­urs to flourish, network, form partnershi­ps, and have access to business mentors.

NBC, an initiative of the Public Establishm­ent for Industrial Estates (PEIE), is located at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) and offers promising Omani entreprene­urs a platform to develop their business ideas and advance them into growing ventures.
