Kia launches all-new 2019 Cerato in Oman

At an exclusive function, held at Kia showroom, Wattayah, the completely redesigned Kia Cerato, one of the world’s favourite sedans was launched in Oman. Earlier in the day, Team Kia also addressed a well-attended press gathering.

The guests of honour were Yoon, Tae-hyeon, General-manager, Sales, Regional Head Quarters, Kia Motors Corporation and Y J Kim, Deputy General manager, Kia Motors Corporation along with Saud Mohammed Bahwan. The event was attended by Dignitaries from the public and private sectors.

Highlighting what makes the all-new Kia Cerato distinct, he said, “The design of the all new Cerato is eye-catching from any angle. While Cerato retains its sporty and youthful image, it has graduated to a more sophisticated appearance thanks to a number of sleek and dynamic styling cues inspired by the Stinger fastback sport sedan. Kia’s first in-house designed and built Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) introduces new line of Smart Stream technologies designed to help increase fuel efficiency. Every line on the Cerato contributes to its winning personality. Speaking on the occasion, a representative from Reliable International Automotive said, “This compact sedan levels up with sophisticated yet sporty design, advanced technology, and all-new efficient smart stream intelligent variable transmission (IVT).

The new Cerato makes its sporty passion quite clear the moment anyone sees it. The strong front face with unique design elements such as headlamps and grille are what makes it so memorable even at the first sight. The large , wide front bumper , full bifunction LED headlamp, black high glossy finishes on the radiator grille, the air curtain and integrated turn signal positioned in the lower bumper completes the aggressive look of this model. The all new Cerato is longer, wider and taller versus the previous Cerato and also provides a class leading exterior size in its segment.”

Sharing his views on the interior he said, “The interior is also inspired from the flagship sporty Kia Stinger. The horizontal theme creates a sense of openness. Side AC vents, floating display and a very refined driver space provide a high level of functionality. The Cerato also has ergonomically designed luxury seats with options of Power adjustable driver seat, IMS (Integrated Memory System) along with ventilated seats — for complete satisfaction and stress-free driving experiences. The all new Cerato provides more interior space than the previous one with better headroom, legroom as well as increased luggage space. The new Cerato has class leading roominess in its segment.”

“The all-new Cerato offers three different engine choices to customers, 1.6 MPI engine developing 128 PS of power with 15.8 Kg-m of torque, a 1.6 turbo GDI engine offering a stupendous 204 PS of power and 27 kg-m of torque. The Cerato also offers a 2.0 MPI engine developing 152 PS and 19.6 Kg-m of torque. Coupled with the engine choices, the Cerato also has 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions along with a 7-Speed DCT (dual clutch transmission) for the turbo GDI engine — to create the best driving condition,” he continued.

“There are a variety of high end features which are available for customer convenience, for example smart key with button start, remote engine ignition, wireless charger , smart trunk / boot opener, higher voltage quick USB charger. In addition, seat belt pretensioner, audio remote control, Aux and USB ports, power outlet for charging your devices, paddle shifter and many more,” he added.

Speaking about the safety features in the all-new Cerato he said, “All new Cerato offers diverse high tech features for safety and comfort. For drivers and pedestrian’s safety, blind spot collision warning system, Front and rear parking distance warning, rear view monitor with dynamic guidelines, rear cross traffic collision warning are some of the high technology features available as options.” During the event, the first few customers of the all-new 2019 Cerato were felicitated. Later, enthusiasts went around viewing the vehicles on display and getting firsthand experience Kia’s advancements.

The all-new 2019 Kia Cerato is now on display at all Kia showrooms.
