Technology a boost for media
Media has, over a period, evolved a lot and the advancement in technology has been reflected in the way media is functioning today, said Dr Kholoud al Najjar, Head of Educational Technology Department (ETD), Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), Kuwait.
Speaking on the sidelines of her recent visit to Bayan College, where she delivered a lecture on media, said the “availability of information on the fingertips” has helped the media grow in leaps and bounds.
“Media has always been evolving with changing times; it has reformed society through the use of advanced technology,” she said.
Dr Kholoud, who went on a tour of the campus, delivered a lecture for the students of media department.
“The Omani students studying in Kuwait are one of the best; they have shown energy, commitment and hard work in their academics and extra-curricular activities.” She lauded Dr Modi Juma al Ghailani, Dean of Bayan College, for the facilities and the international platforms provided for students at Bayan College.
“Teaching media is highly challenging. Bayan College is doing a fabulous job by preparing graduates for the job market, where media industry is very competitive.”
