Book on peace diplomacy released
MUSCAT: The Foreign Ministry released a book entitled ‘Peace Diplomacy: Stages of Development of the Foreign Ministry’ prepared by Ambassador Ali bin Mohammed al Mahri, head of the Information Affairs section at the Foreign Ministry.
The book documents stages of development of the ministry and the appointments it has witnessed since the beginning of the blessed Renaissance era.
It documents the history of Oman’s diplomatic relations with the countries of the world and its extension eastward and westward to fulfil His Majesty’s statement, “I want to look at the map of the world and I do not find a country that does not have a friendly relation with Oman.”
It seems that the book stresses that the statement of His Majesty the Sultan has come true as Oman’s diplomatic relations extend today to all continents of the world, if not through the presence of a resident ambassador, then a non-resident ambassador, but he is engaged in the establishment of relations with that country.
The book also lists some of the selected documents on diplomatic relations between the Sultanate and countries of the world.
Representatives of Omani companies taking part in the expo emphasised that specialised food exhibitions like Gulfood play a great role in disseminating awareness about the Omani products among different countries worldwide. Such events offer a chance to forge business ties with international companies
