Alpha Football Academy launched in Muscat
MUSCAT: Alpha Football Academy, founded by Meeran Yoosuf and Managing Director Abdullah Mubarak al Foory, was launched in Muscat on Sunday.
“As the name suggests, our aim is to be one of the best football academies in Muscat as well as in the Middle East. We are also in the process of launching Alpha Football Academy in Bengaluru, India.”
“Our academy started with the notion, football for all, to lay a foundation for enthusiastic and driven children to achieve their goals and all this is available at a highly affordable price without compromise in quality,” he said.
Alpha Football Academy operates in two locations. One is Jabir Bin Zaid School, Wattayah, and the other on November 18th Street. Both these locations fulfil all the requirements of an 11-a-side pitch.
“All our training methodologies are of a professional approach. It helps the kids achieve a certain level of discipline and endurance towards the game. We currently have 200 kids registered with us, lot more enquiries are coming our way. We are also expanding to areas such as Seeb and Maabela and other potential areas,” Meeran said. Alpha academy have certified coaches of different nationalities such as Indians, Omanis and South Africans.
“We are looking to add more to our ranks. In our programme we will also be including nutritionist and physiotherapist. This is to keep them in par with the international standards of the game. We will also be recording and monitoring the progress of each child. These records will be accessible to the parents,” he said. INTERNATIONAL AFFILIATION
Each year, Alpha Football Academy will be also bringing international clubs to Oman. It will also be associated with coaches from clubs that participate in premier leagues such as Serie A of Italy, Eredivise of Holland, La Liga of Spain and Premier League of England.
It has programmes for the participants to go on trials and be scouted, programmes to participate in international tournaments, programme to go to sports school and pursue their career in football, the statement said.
The Alpha Academy’s base fee starts at RO 30 per month. It’s a year round coaching programme. It will also launch a pro-coaching session by which talented individual can receive a 1 on 1 training session with the coaches. It will be first of its kind.
After the launch, the academy’s main concern is to find grounds at an affordable rate. They Academy is looking ahead for support from Ministry of Sports to launch a protraining course throughout Oman by which kids can train with Uefa and AFC pro-certified coaches.
