OTTC renews tie-up with STAG International
Oman Table Tennis Committee (OTTC) renewed their strategic sponsorship agreement with STAG International for four years until 2024. The renewable agreement signing function took place earlier this month as part of the Arab Table Tennis Federation Annual General Meeting and Qatar International Open Tournament in Doha. OTTC and Stag International’s relationship is dated back to 2016 when the sponsor provided the required support for OTTC to organise different domestic and regional events. The agreement between both parties is part of the OTTC’S efforts to boost the sports in the Sultanate. Abdullah Mohammed Bamukhalef, Chairman of OTTC, signed on behalf of the OTTC while Vivek Kohli, the Co-chairman of STAG International, represented the sponsor side.
The partnership of OTTC with STAG International will enable the former to receive 100 tables for the School Table Tennis Tournament which will be organised every year (in both semesters) in coordination with Oman School Sports Association.
Twelve tables will be distributed in boys and girls schools each which win the tournament. Besides to that, STAG International will provide for the players and coaches the sports outfit in the finals. In addition, the sponsorship agreement will feature the national teams and the talent centres around the Sultanate.
The sponsor will support the committee to provide the required items for players and the national team staff including the tables, barriers and referees main items. Moreover, the agreement featured a clause for the talented players who shine during the sporting season and raise the Sultanate players’ ranking at international level. The sponsor will provide facilities for abroad camp for the players.
Abdullah Mohammed Bamukhalef, Chairman of OTTC, affirmed the renewal of this agreement is part of the committee’s marketing plans to provide the required support for the main table tennis activities and events. “This agreement definitely will add a lot to the committee as we are working to provide the required items and tools for the success of the domestic and regional events. Besides to that, distribution of the table tennis sport tools around the Sultanate will enable for spreading the sport in the sports complex, clubs, schools and talent centres run by the OTTC in coordination with the clubs,” he added.
“Our strategic partnership with STAG International will support the committee for registering the success at the schools events. We have many tournaments and events with Oman School Sports Association for this season and the forthcoming seasons,” the OTTC chief said.
STAG International’s Vivek Kohli commented on the agreement:” We are delighted with our relationship with OTTC for the last few years. The OTTC is providing a good boost for the sport in the Sultanate through the domestic activities and hosting the international high profile events. Oman is now ranked as one of the top countries to host top table tennis events. We reached to many targets from this agreement and expecting further more from OTTC within the upcoming few years,” the co-chairman of STAG International concluded.
