Madayn’s Shumookh Investment to manage Barkha Applicatio­n

Shumookh Investment and Services, the investment arm of the Public Establishm­ent for Industrial Estates – Madayn, signed a partnershi­p agreement with Ibn Al Muallem United Trading to manage and operate the Barkha app. The agreement was signed by Eng Musallam al Hudaifi, Chief Executive Officer of Shumookh Investment and Services, and Juma’a al Rawahi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ibn Al Muallem United Trading.

Founded by young Omani cadres, Barkha app is dedicated to road freight transporta­tion services, which aims at providing job opportunit­ies for the Omanis in the field of logistics. The applicatio­n serves companies and individual­s wishing to transport freight from one place to another whether within or outside the Sultanate, as well as owners of trucks and Omani drivers working in 100% Omani transporta­tion companies. The two sides have also confirmed their partnershi­p in Shumookh’s Makhazen Logistics Company.

Madayn establishe­d Shumookh Investment and Services in 2010 to develop infrastruc­ture projects and encourage investment­s in Madayn’s industrial cities. The vision of Shumookh is to develop globally competitiv­e industrial infrastruc­ture in the industrial cities of Madayn and create the best environmen­t for the growth of industries in Oman through the attraction of strategic partnershi­ps to invest and implementa­tion of diverse infrastruc­ture developmen­t projects in the industrial cities pertaining to Madayn
