MUS­CAT: Over the past 50 years of the blessed Re­nais­sance, Omani women have made steady strides across var­i­ous sec­tors set­ting a role model for their sis­ters across the world.

These achieve­ments have won the Sul­tanate earned in­ter­na­tional com­men­da­tion for gen­der equal­ity, elim­i­na­tion of all types of dis­crim­i­na­tion by grant­ing them all so­cial, eco­nomic and po­lit­i­cal rights in line with the Ba­sic Law of the State, In­ter­na­tional Hu­man Rights Con­ven­tions and Oman Vi­sion 2040.

On this oc­ca­sion, His Majesty Sul­tan Haitham bin Tarik con­ferred Royal Or­der of Com­men­da­tion on a num­ber of Omani women. The Hon­ourable Lady, Spouse of His Majesty the Sul­tan, pre­sented the or­ders to the honourees dur­ing the cel­e­bra­tion held on the oc­ca­sion of Omani Womens’ Day at Al Baraka Palace, on Satur­day morn­ing. The Hon­ourable Lady con­grat­u­lated the Omani women on the oc­ca­sion of the Omani Women’s Day which falls on Oc­to­ber 17 ev­ery year.

HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Min­is­ter of Cul­ture, Sports and Youth con­grat­u­lated the Omani women on the oc­ca­sion of the Omani Women’s Day, which falls on Oc­to­ber 17 ev­ery year.

HH Sayyid Theyazin greeted the Omani women on the sta­tus they have at­tained thanks to the suc­cesses and ac­com­plish­ments they have achieved in var­i­ous fields as the Omani women be­came real and ac­tive part­ners in the march of de­vel­op­ment and na­tion-build­ing.
